I started to write an Emergency Lesbian(tm) episode to say goodbye, but I don't have the heart to do it tonight. ASL was a remarkable place. We kept for ourselves the freedom to fight tooth and nail for what we believe. We ranged ourselves against the dark forces of spam and what that means in the real world. We provided ourselves with the example of lucid debate, strong argument, humour and tollerance. In good times, ASL supported me in my continuing learning about lesbian life and love, hopes and fears. In bad times, lots of shoes have been there to help and support and encourage me . I know that they will be here for me now, at this time of need. I can't begin to say how grateful I am for the friends I have gained through ASL. Joules, Kal, PG(tm), Miriam, Sunny (VSPTH), Sarah and all the others who have passed into my life through ASL. Such is the nature of ASL, I also value my old adversary (hi Johannah!) I love the fact that shoes took the power away from the evil forces of spam and set up our own group. We are powerful, subversive, funny, not-to-be-messed-with women. Come and join us in ASLM. -- Hev just split up with her girlfriend AND has a stubbed toe bare feet
